JOB DETAIL

Purpose:

Using your HC operations expertise, provide day to day HC support to leaders and employees by being a knowledgeable advisor, partner and a change agent

Human Capital Support and Reporting

  • In collaboration with the HC Team, capture, compile, and report on HC information (training, IR, absence, WSP, ART’s, & IOD’s etc.) on the People System.
  • Oversee the onboarding process in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Remuneration & Benefits, ICT and the relevant teams.
  • Oversee the termination process of employees including performing exit interviews and gathering insights.
  • In Collaboration with Talent Acquisition, represent HC in interviews.
  • With payroll, ensure the maintenance of employee records by handing in correct and updated information and documents.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HC Policies.
  • Support internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Coach and develop leaders on HC Policies, procedures and HC best practice.
  • Ensure that policy changes are communicated.
  • Conduct employee and team engagement sessions, surveys and feedback session.
  • In Collaboration with the Fun Committee, ensure that all planned initiatives are carried out.

Labour relations & Compliance

  • Provide a full IR support function for all labour relations matters and processes (misconduct, poor performance, ill-health/incapacity, grievances).
  • Build and maintain sound relationships with employees through effective and frequent communication.
  • Update, communicate and ensure compliance to all HC policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and assist with DOL audits.
  • Advisor to business leaders on people matters, such as employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Performance Enablement

  • Educate and inspire business leaders and employees to understand and buy into our performance philosophy and culture.
  • Provide support in ensuring that all performance contracts, reviews and IDPs are captured on the Performance System.
  • Support business leaders, if required, when they conduct performance feedback discussions with their direct reports.

Job Grade and Job Descriptions

  • Drive and maintain the upkeep of job profiles and assist line management with writing new job descriptions as per standardised process.
  • Actively participate in the job grading process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Psychology/Business Administration or related Behavioural Science qualifications required.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years solid working experience in a Human Capital department, supporting business.
  • Experience in Market Research or Consulting an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the Human Capital functions and how they impact on one another
