An automotive industry requires an experienced Buyer to ensure that suitable suppliers are selected for products and services to the Company in terms of predetermined criteria. Securing and analysis of RFQ’s, Quotations and negotiating of prices and terms.

Key Performance Areas but not limited to:

• Purchasing of commodities and services
• Control, develop and monitor suppliers
• Expediting

Knowledge required

• Sound knowledge and understanding of technical concepts and quality systems
• Sound knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Sound knowledge and understanding of budget control
• Sound knowledge and understanding of customer requirements and supplier evaluation
• Sound knowledge of technical specifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required

• GR12
• Diploma in Purchasing or Equivalent\
• Navision
• Min. 5 years purchasing experience
• Technical knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry
• Min. 2 year costing / estimating experience
